The Worth of Every Soul is Great in the Eyes of God

October 24th 2011

Hi everyone!

This is going to have to be a quick email. We've got a zone p-day today and are going laser tagging. Fe and I are totally going to win :)

I hope you have all had a wonderful week. Things here in Liberty MO have been wonderful. Besides a few days of cold the weather has been awesome. The leaves are all starting to change and Fe and I are becoming pro at picking out all the pretty ones. Serving here at the jail is still completely wonderful, and because of the time of year things are starting to slow down quite a bit.

Speaking of Sister Fie'eiki, she is feeling much better. She was put on some meds and started to do a lot better, but then found that she was allergic to that medication and broke out in some nasty looking hives. We took one step forward and a few steps back. Once we figured out that issue and resolved it with a different medication we are back on the mend, almost like we are back to normal. We’re keeping our fingers crossed. She's a trooper though. It’s been a very weird, long, up and down few weeks but thank you for keeping her in your prayers.

Friday night we all carved pumpkins. It was a lot of fun. Fe and I made a batman pumpkin. Fe has a greater love (and shirt collection) for batman than anyone I have ever met. I'm no person to judge but our pumpkin was way cooler than the others. :)

A family came into the jail last night and after they had seen the jail they came back for the history part of the presentation. As we were talking I asked each of the little kids what their favorite part was. The youngest, shot his hand straight up and said very proudly, "I really like it when the Lamanites attacked".......... Yup, definitely no Lamanites in the history of Liberty Jail. But it was awesome regardless. We became instant friends after that.

As far as the work goes, it’s still going. With Fe being sick and having an allergic reaction and the fact that our investigators are really hard to get a hold of, we are still working on it. But the work moves on regardless. We are completely blessed to be serving in the Liberty 1st ward. The members are absolutely amazing and are such a great support. They have become a wonderful family in more ways than one. I've been so blessed to be serving with them.

One of our ward missionaries, and favorite people is Sister King. She is a true inspiration. She's been battling breast cancer for a few years and started chemo for the first time a few weeks ago. Despite her hair falling out, her exhaustion and pain you would never know it by the attitude she has. She keeps everything so light and positive. Her example and love for everyone around her including me is purely amazing. I'm just amazed to know that despite it all, everything that we have to face (fair or not) in this life has been taken care of by our loving Savior. Nothing is as big as what the Savior faced and nothing ever will be. Each and every one of us has been saved from the Fall. It is our gift and it is up to us to receive it.

It is a blessing to have wonderful people like Sister King come into my life and help me see the bigger picture. The challenge I was given and am now giving to you is to write a letter to yourself from our Savior Jesus Christ. Write that letter and then watch the video “Dayton's Legs”. I hope it shines a new light of who you really are.

I am so grateful to be blessed enough to be serving here in the Independence Missouri Mission and to have a Savior who was willing to die for each and every one of us. I know the atonement covers everything. Thank you for being a part of my life.

Have a wonderful week. Your prayers and love mean more than I could ever express to you. I love each and every one of you.

Sister Hall
