Title: Intolerance to Lactose and Mormons

Hi everyone!

Man this week flew! The transfer is already short. It doesn't need to go any faster.

Thank you to all for the letters and love. I can't keep up, be patient with me and I'll get back to you as soon as I can :)

Regardless of how fast the week has gone it’s been a great one, it’s always awkward, weird, crazy, and exciting.

- Spending some time with Brooke and Grandma was fun. I still can't get over the fact that my baby sister drives for real. I love you so much!

-We had another Young Women mini missionary with us for a few days. She was such a sweet girl. She hid cute little notes under our pillows. :)

-My toe is confirmed broken. I am so cool. I can now say that I’ve had a broken pinkie finger and toe!

-We had dinner with the Primary President of the ward. She's interesting.....she got mad at me for trying to help her daughter with some homework! It was a scary moment. I was afraid.

-I went on exchanges with Sister Larson. She is amazing. We will go home together when the time comes. (Kensley Rowland- she's from Arizona, she knows Shelby Tanner. Do you know a Stephanie Larson?)

While on exchanges:
-We found a giant 50 kilo bag of Mary Jane.......oh my!
- We visited a lady in our area. Her name is Sister Baker. Oh my goodness......
1. She has cats, two of them to be exact. She asked me to scratch one of the cat’s rear! I just looked at her trying to process what she was saying to me. She then demonstrated what she meant. There was no way in this life or the next that was happening. Plus, she treats her cats like they are babies. I have never seen anybody kiss a cat with more passion before in my life......
2. She asked us to wash her dishes. So being allergic to her cats and having my eyes swell, itch and run, we still washed her dishes. I can handle dishes right? WRONG! These dishes had been sitting in the fridge for months and months with the food still on them. To quote Sister Baker, "the food is petrified by now..." Bad bad bad sign. The food was not only petrified but it was a moldy, unrecognizable, microorganism science project. I couldn't believe it. To make a long story short Sister Larsen and I washed those dishes. I doubt they had looked that clean in years. I've never used so much hand sanitizer in my life.

-There was a sweet member who made us dinner and brought it to the jail at 11:00 a.m. We didn't eat until 6:00 p.m. unfortunately; it ended up being one soggy salad. Bless them though. All of that happened in one day. It was a day I will never ever forget :)

-On Thursday it was one of the recent convert’s birthdays. It was also the day he was going to quit smoking. We made him a cake and then sang to him. We really hope he holds to his promise so he can go to the temple with his sweet wife. We are crossing our fingers.

-Friday night our wonderful Sister leaders put on a party after our planning session was over. We have so much fun :)

-After much observation this past week, I finally came to the conclusion that my sweet, wonderful, companion is lactose intolerant. I have given her strict rules that she can no longer eat dairy. All she can think about is cheese! We are still working on it.

-We were tracting Saturday and came across a “Mormon admirer” with a sticker on their car that took up the entire back window. It said the following, "The Book of Mormon is total fiction!" and his license plate read, "Mormons are not Christian." Fabulous, Welcome to Missouri!

-Sunday we were able to get one less active, recent convert to come to church! We were extremely excited. They may have only stayed for sacrament meeting but it is still progress. Baby steps!

That’s about all for this week. We are coming up with new plans and ideas to find people to teach. Since we spend half our time doing tours at the jail, we only have 25 hours a week to tract, so it’s not easy but it’s so worth it. I am so grateful to be here.

I love you all so much. Thank you for everything.
Have a wonderful week.

Ps. I will no longer be a missionary one year from today....ugh......heart attack....
