Hi Everyone!

Good morning. I hope it’s not as rainy and humid where you are as it is here today. Missouri has certainly got that covered!

I know I need to thank a bunch of people for a bunch of different things, but I just can't remember what they are at the moment. Forgive me, and thank you to all!

Tiff, little Emma is so cute. Congratulations!

This week was really good. Fast but good.

A new family that just moved into the ward invited us over for dinner. They have a little girl named Lilly. She's 3 and hilarious. As soon as we got into her house she grabbed us both by the hand and took us to her room. She then dressed us both up (I was a princess and Sister Fe was a giraffe....haha) She also taught Fe how to be a ballerina at her dance bar. It was the cutest thing ever.

We celebrated Sister Larson's birthday this week. Fe and I came home a little early and set up a "dance club" downstairs. We had lights, streamers and a few balloons that took way to much effort to blow up. It takes some serious talent to rock out to mo tab and primary songs!

We visited with a (very) less active this week. She has been through a lot in her life and her years of drug abuse have resulted in very little understanding of things; including the Gospel. We had a really good lesson with her and are planning on picking her up tomorrow after our jail shift to walk back to the jail with her and watch the Joseph Smith movie. (They just came out with a new one...it’s apparently more investigator friendly.) We are really praying that she will be home and not bail on us like previous times.

While attempting to contact another less active a little girl on her bike started talking to us. She asked us if we are dunked or sprinkled when we are baptized. What 9 year old knows that! We talked to her for a good 15 minutes and left her and her siblings (that had accumulated around our car) each a book of Mormon. They all rode away on their bikes yelling, "We got a bible!" My companion and I are excited to go back. :)

Our Zone leaders, Elder Cox and Elder Jensen are seriously the best. They are very aware of how little time we have in our area and the small fact that we have no one to teach. Being the awesome Elders that they are, they spent an entire day finding people for us! Bless their hearts, they are so amazing. We may not have anyone to teach still but just the fact that they were willing to do that for us is incredible.

Fe and I visited with an older lady in the ward that is basically alone. First thing I noticed was the "in case of emergency, I have 4 cats" sticker on her door. She let us in and was very sweet. After a minute of talking with her she calls to the back room, "Alice come sit out here with us" Fe, thinking it was her daughter or something asked, "Oh who is Alice?" "Alice is my cat." Oh goodness. She's one of those cat ladies that treat them like people. She then proceeded to talk about her 4 cats for way too long. As we were getting ready to leave we asked her if there was anything we could do for her? She proceeded with the following, "Oh well the other day I was going to call you sisters to clip my
toenails for me" Wait…… what? I couldn't believe what I thought I just heard. I looked at Fe who had giant eyes! I knew exactly what she was thinking. Thank goodness this sweet lady changed her mind. How we would have handled that situation is beyond me.

Regardless of all the weird, awkward and challenging moments, this is exactly where I need to be. I couldn't be happier. I am so grateful for this opportunity. No matter how slow or inconsistent the works seems to go sometimes, it is moving forward. This is the true gospel and a blessing beyond anything I deserve.

Keep being safe. I love you all so much.

Sister Hall
