Hi!
Guess what? I've been on my mission for a month and 2 days! Weird.
Mom, I had to give the prayer in sacrament in the English ward and I had to give a talk in the MTC. I sounded like an idiot both times. I hope that makes you feel better.
I meant to say thank you to Elder Hall last week but completely forgot. Thanks Ry for the advice! You are an amazing example.
I'm still here in Junction City Kansas. Its been so great. Sister Nuckles and I had a miracle happen this week. We received a call from someone at the institute in Manhattan (Manhattan Kansas, not Manhattan New York) saying that someone called looking for religion. He referred them to our number and would be calling us shortly. Sure enough our phone rang a few minutes later. Chris (the guy on the phone) asked a few general questions where I then asked if we could come visit him. He was shocked that we would do that and instantly agreed. We left immediately and headed to the base where he lives. Chris is unbelievable. Seriously. He has two adorable girls and a soon to be x-wife (she is currently deployed but will be home the first week of march). Anyway, Chris is so receptive and ready for the gospel. He has heard some weird things from people about the church so he asks millions of questions that we are happy to answer for him. He completely accepts everything we teach and soaks every word up. (we have given him a few scripture reading assignments and instead of reading it once he reads it 5 times and takes notes. Awesome!) His biggest struggle is smoking (everyone smokes here) and doesn't want to be baptized until he has quit. It would be such a big help if you all could pray for him. I could go on about Chris for days but I'll stop. He is just amazing.
The King Family is also doing so well and are looking forward to their baptism on the 12th. They are the most amazing wonderful family. They are so willing to accept everything we teach. We love them so much. (Lanie is still my best friend. She turned three Friday :) )
We are also teaching a 10 year old named Rachael. Her parents were members 30 years ago and are now trying to get back into the church (lets just say we have a long way to go with them). She also has an older sister who is 12 (we have a long way to go with her as well). But Rachael is just super innocent and cute. She has such a love for Heavenly father. She will be baptized on the 19th.
Sister Nuckles and I are doing great. I completely love her. She is everything I have needed in a companion. We survived the snow storm earlier this week and only got our car stuck once! (Junction City doesn't plow the roads. Its great).
My cold is thankfully gone but now Sister Nuckles has it. My bad.
Oh! Linsey, Jace Stevens is one of my zone leaders! Crazy. (He doesn't remember me. Shocker)
Thank you for all the letters, prayers and support. I would not be here without them.
I love you all. Be safe.
Hermana Hall. (that's about all the Spanish I've picked up)
