Hi everyone.
I'm on a mission. I'm really on my mission! I'm one of those missionaries that gets prayed for and gets talked about in General Conference. "I hope they call me on a mission" is an actual reality for me. Who would have thought that I, Makenzie Hall, the shy girl that will be in school for the rest of her life would be on a mission? I'm a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and I absolutely love it.
Listening to Conference this weekend made "I'm on a mission" run through my head over and over. Those 8 hours were not even close to long enough. I know every word that was said was inspired. The simple principles talked about were for you and for me. Those simple principles are what builds the foundation of who we are, of what our testimony is. I know that President Monson is a Prophet of God (and a hilarious one at that). The temples that were announced were another testament for me of the evidence that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is moving forward (Paris! Africa! Columbia!... and Wyoming- Its so cool). Heavenly Father is real and so very aware of us. He loves us. We really are His children. I am so thankful to be a member of this TRUE church.
The gospel is not easy, but if it were easy it would not be worth striving for. I know that this gospel is worth every effort, pain, sorrow and fear we experience. The hard times are always overshadowed by happiness, love, faith, and enduring. I love my Savior and will serve Him the best that I can.
I hope you all have a wonderful faith inspired week.
I love you.
Thank you for everything.
Sister Hall

P.S.
I think Sister Fe is dying on me! It's been a slightly rough week for the both of us and now she is sick. She has been fighting me for days about going to the Doctor, but finally she caved. She has zero voice (so I basically talk to myself) and has some major stomach issues (it started Friday and hasn't gotten any better). I called the mission nurse and she called the area Dr. in Utah. I had to talk with him and explain what was happening. He thinks she might have gal bladder issues. All I know is there is something going on more than the lactose intolerance issue. I'm glad we are going to get her checked out. Hopefully all will be well. Please remember her in your prayers.
