Hello everyone!
Happy Father's day to all you Dad's out there! I hope you had a wonderful day.
Rach, Lins and Luke, welcome home and good luck with your farewells. I so wish I could be there. Love you all. PS: Rach, my mom sent me a picture of you looking awesome in some nice small child swimming gear. Man I totally miss that about you.
Meg you are married! Congratulations, I love you.
The work this past week has been keeping us very busy. I can't believe its already Monday again. Crazy.
My new favorite thing in Kansas...... FIRE FLIES. Seriously the coolest bug ever. Joseph (one of our recent converts) helped me catch one so I could look at it. I am in love with them.
Last night we were teaching our little 9 year old investigator in Chapman. As we were getting ready to head back to Junction City the neighbor came out and told us not to go back yet. Apparently Junction City was under a tornado warning. So, we sat outside and watched the crazy clouds for a while. It seems that wherever we aren't is where the tornadoes are. Somehow I doubt that is coincidence :) A tornado did touch down in White City though. Technically that is in our area, although I have never been there yet.
I know I said Edna didn't come to church last week but she redeemed herself this week and came! She may have only stayed for sacrament meeting but it was better than nothing. I am so proud of her. She is really just super awesome.
President Coleman is our new BML. He is amazing. He served as a mission president in Guatemala for 3 years. I have adopted him as my grandpa.)
We had one investigator at church yesterday which was Roger. He seems to be very observant. We were able to use the Bishop's home and teach him there on Friday. Thank goodness for Bishop Shurtliff. He was a Chaplin for 20ish years and is the perfect team up. The lesson went really well. However, after the lesson as Sister Dent and I were getting ready to leave I went to shake Roger's hand when suddenly his arm was around me!!! He totally disregarded my hand as if I didn't have one and went in for the kill of a side hug. So ILLEGAL! I thought I was going to die; my arms automatically dropped to my sides and I just stood there. I had stress and anxiety for the rest of the night. (It's really not his fault seeing as he doesn't know the rules but still! He almost gave me a heart attack)
Transfer calls are tomorrow. I try not to think about what is going to happen. If I leave its not going to be easy to say goodbye (especially to my little Lainey) but its all part of the work. You do it because you love the Lord.
This gospel is amazing. I am reminded daily. I love being a missionary.
Thank you again for all of the prayers and support I continue to receive from you. Have a wonderful week.
Be safe,
Be safe,
Sister Hall
