I don't know what happened with the email last week! The pictures must have messed it up. I guess I'll just have to send you the memory card once I am done with it. Here is a quick update for this week and last weeks letter. Hope everyone is well. Be safe. Love you. Oh, and Mom I NEED MY PACKAGE. Wearing one blazer twice a week is just not cutting it. I don't need nylons but I need the blazers. Thanks a million.
Hi everyone!
Not a lot to report on this week. We had Rachael's baptism on Sunday and because it was right after church we had a great turn out. Lots of really loud annoying kids but still a great turn out. She has been so excited, it was a great moment and fun to see it finally happen. Right now we don't have anyone to teach but we're working on it. We had our mission conference last week in Wichita. Elder Kevin W. Pearson from the Quorum of 70's came. I was able to hear him in the MTC as well and was really excited. He is amazing. For real amazing! He made us all feel like crap for not being the missionaries that we should be but, it was an unbelievable meeting. His message was definitely inspired. His wife as well as President and Sister VanKomen spoke also. They are all wonderful. From Elder Pearson's words Sister Nuckles and I are working on being EXACTLY obedient (that means be in bed by 10:30 exactly and not 10:31). I've realized how important it is to be a missionary and not just be on a mission. Today Sister Nuckles and I climbed up a big mountain...okay not a mountain...it was a large hill....but we climbed up this hill to an old army tank. It was pretty cool. It reminded me of Omaha Beach in France....however I'm in Kansas and not in France :) Anyway, it was REALLY windy, which made my hair look awesome. (I can tell humidity and I are not going to get a long very well) It was a nice little activity. We had our little mini missionaries over this past weekend. We were assigned three of them. Naturally I got stuck with the one who doesn't want to participate. Lucky me. As much as I tried to include her, she didn't say a word during our 2 appointments....awkward. She just seemed to have a bad attitude about the whole thing. However, she left early so things got better. The other 2 were really nice and sweet. It's just funny to see the age difference of a high school senior. The whole thing was a little more stress and babysitting than we had planned for, but its over and I'm okay with it not happening again anytime soon :) Transfers are coming up. I feel a little sick every time I think about it. I don't want to leave Sister Nuckles. I have a feeling that I will be staying and she will be leaving....guess we will see what happens. Oh and a quick update on Chris. We called him on Tuesday from our Spanish phone (he doesn't have that number, hence the reason we used it) Anyway, I called him and he didn't answer. But he called right back. Sister Nuckles answered and once he realized it was us HE HUNG UP ON US. Rude. But he gave us an answer. We think his x-wife may have given him some anti stuff. He may not be ready now but someday I hope he will be. He knows it's true and will be accountable for the things we taught him. Well that's about all for this week. It hasn't been one of the best weeks but, the gospel is still true and the work continues to move forward. Pretty sure tracking is in the near future. Yikes. Hope all is well at home. Love you all.
