Act Your Way Into Present Thinking

Hi everyone :)

I feel stressed! There are so many things happening; I just don't know where to begin. Lets see…

Before we left today I said a quick prayer and asked Heavenly Father for someone to ask us whom we were. It still amazes me but prayers really are answered! Right now there is this guy sitting next to me in the Library. He just got out of prison and is asking me about the church!!!  He seems really cool. He just gave me his number and address. I love it.

In answer to my Grandmothers question, Larned, Kansas is in my area. Half the ward (including the bishop) lives in that area. We go there frequently.

I hope you all have had a great week. Ours has been so good, different, crazy, and exhausting but totally worth it.

Jayden's baptism was perfect! We had a lot of support from the ward and Jayden's (super) less active mom even showed up (Again, prayers are answered). Jayden had this huge smile on his face despite the freezing water (our Ward Mission Leader forgot to turn on the hot water....) It was such a great experience. Jayden is an awesome kid and is very excited to be confirmed next week and receive the priesthood. I'm so glad I was able to witness all of it.

I learn new things in Great Bend everyday. We had our first district meeting of the transfer last Friday. It only took us an hour and a half to get there! We are seriously as far away from everyone and everything as humanly possible. It’s insane. This is a place that you have to experience for yourself. It’s very different but somehow I still love it. I love the ward; the people and the open fields of brown nothing. We were joking in district meeting that here in Great Bend you could be 5 miles away from your companion and still see them, sight and sound.

The weather has been awesome (until now). We've got some major reports of snow coming tomorrow and we are supposed to be driving to Topeka. Awesome. Should be an interesting drive.

With Christmas around the corner I keep thinking of last year. I swear it was yesterday that I had said goodbye to school and had just moved home. I had just gotten my mission call and was freaking out that I would be leaving in a month. Where in the world did time go?

Christmas Eve we will be with the Carlton family. Apparently we each have to come up with a talent to share. We all know how much I love doing that. Ugh. But Christmas day we will be spending it with Sister Smith. She is the coolest, most out spoken lady I've ever met. Both of her husbands died on Christmas; bless her heart. To top the day off we will be with Elder and Sister Knudsen. It will be fun :)

I hope you all have an awesome Christmas. I love you all. Be happy and safe.

Merry {Christ}mas! Remember He is what really matters.

Love you,

Sister Hall

This house is "THE" tourist attraction here in Great Bend
It has every ugly blow up Christmas toy, cartoon character, etc. you could imagine.
