Good morning everyone!
Sister Birch and I are doing much better FINALLY! (Yes, Sister Birch caught whatever it was that I had) After sinus infections, ear infections, pink eye and a lost voices we are alive! Thank you for all your prayers in our behalf. We love you.
Haley HL Loveland....you are going on a MISSION and didn't tell me???? I LOVE YOU.
Our Thanksgiving here was so much fun. We have the best ward. After serving at the Jail for a few hours that morning (it was completely dead) we headed over to our wonderful members home for dinner. We had so much fun. The Jury family is hilarious and has become another one of our adopted families. I just love them. We spent the rest of our day out in our area visiting members. I think we saw 6 other people that day. It was crazy and busy but it kept us going. We are so grateful for the ward and that they were willing to take time out of their lives and let us interrupt. The only issue I had with the day is that people have this misconception that the missionaries don't get fed. Wrong! Every house we went to tried to get us to eat something. And that something always seemed to be Pumpkin pie which I don’t care for at all. Bless their hearts though. It was such a good day and one that I will forever remember.
Unfortunately, as I mentioned before, the rest of the week Sister Birch and I have been sick. It’s been a lot of ups and downs, medications, Dr. appointments, and sleeping, but somewhere in the week we were able to visit our investigator John. He has been taught by the missionaries before and when we contacted him, he felt like it was again time to change his life. He is a really cool 17 year old. We were able to bring a member with us to our appointment who happens to be his wrestling partner on the high school team. The lesson went really well and at the end we invited John for baptism. He accepted and is praying for a date. We are so grateful for the miracles that we are seeing here in our area.
I'm so blessed to be a part of this work and this gospel. It’s been a privilege serving here for as long as I have. The friendships and moments that have been made will last a life time. Thank you for your love and support. You all mean the world to me. We've got a lot of catching up to do in our area this week.....
Love you.
