Hi everyone!
First things first…. I have no hair! It’s seriously gone. Fe and I were in desperate need of some "hair love" so we went to Wal-Mart….. worst decision ever. All I asked for was a trim and 9 inches later.....yup, I have no hair. I cried. Awesome. Please, someone tell me it will grow back and that I won’t look like a boy forever? Ugh.
Tasha Bell you are famous! Holy moly girl! You’re a soccer coach. I’m so proud of you!
To my little Spanish speaking Hermanas, Linsey and Rachel, leaving for Argentina, good luck! I love you both!
As much as I am trying to not think of transfers, honestly, that’s all I can think about. We get the call tonight. So as I sit here with anxiety and fear eating at me here are a few updates from this past week:
-While on exchanges with Sister Juergens we went and visited a less active. I had never met her before but she is awesome. She lives in this little trailer park where I can guarantee drugs are being sold. As we stopped at her trailer, the family just happened to be sitting outside. Perfect! We talked to them for over an hour. They are the coolest. Although they drink beer like its water and smoke like a chimney it was really fun to talk to them. We are praying to have her husband become an investigator.
-We were trying to contact a former investigator, (he lives in a trailer park as well) when a man came out of nowhere with a giant crowbar in his hand. He told us they don't allow solicitors’. All I could think about was the crowbar in his hand and what he was thinking of doing with it. Two, 22 year old girls in skirts look pretty threatening. Man.
-Sister Daniel's (the less active Fe and I have been working with since day one of being here) came to church on Sunday! We were so excited. I love those "Christmas morning" moments.
-S. Larson, Whittier, Fe, and I got sushi yesterday. It was so good.
-I had the coolest tour come through the jail this last week. It’s something I will never forget.
-Our early morning training meeting on Thursday was perfect. This past transfer we have been talking about "becoming like..." This week was "becoming disciples" That’s really what we are. We are disciples of Jesus Christ. I am representing Jesus Christ.
I truly am so grateful to be part of this, to be on a mission and to be in such a sacred place as Liberty Missouri. These past 11 weeks have been possible the greatest of my entire life. It is something I will never forget. Whatever that phone call brings tonight is suppose to happen because that is what the Lord wants. I will do what the Lord needs me to do.
Thank you for everything. Your letters, support and prayers mean the world.
Be safe. I love you.
Sister Hall
