Hello everyone!
Guess what? Tomorrow I hit the 6 month mark. When in the world did that happen? It’s freaking me out!
Mari Hill, congratulations! It will be the most beautiful baby ever. Carli, Rach, and Haley thank you so much for the package. Good heavens you have no idea how much I loved it :)
This week has flown. Truthfully sitting here trying to remember what happened; I'm coming up blank...... Here are a few highlights from what I do remember and from what I've learned over the past 6 months:
This week:
-I got stung by a wasp while checking the mail. So rude. Speaking of bugs there are these weird, super loud, bugs in the trees that make noise all day. I finally saw what one looked like....NOT OKAY. They are giant.
-We had our little mini missionary with us this week. She was super quiet but a really sweet girl. She looked more like she was 12 than 16. It was a slightly awkward 3 days.
-We took Michael and Brittany to the IVC (Independence Visitors Center) to go through God's Plan for His Family. Man, that presentation is amazing.
-I love Liberty Jail, it is amazing. Seriously, I don't really talk about it because I don't know how to put it into words. I am happier here than I think I have ever been. It is just so sacred. I even love giving tours. I love telling people about the history and seeing them touched by the spirit. I don't ever want to leave.
-I saw the temple! It is beautiful.
The past 6 months:
-I love the scriptures. Getting up and reading them every morning is my absolute favorite time.
-I can pray in Spanish...kind of
-I love meeting new people. Witnessing their example and testimony is beautiful.
-I think like a missionary; greatest thing ever.
-I really don't like cats.
-I would be absolutely nowhere without the gospel.
-Prayer really is communication with our Heavenly Father.
-I have no desire to ever go back to the real world.
-Receiving letters in the mail is kind of like Christmas only better.
-It doesn't matter where you are; the gospel is still the same.
-I love Missouri and Kansas.
-Wearing jeans is not normal. I think I will have to wear skirts for the rest of my life.
-I feel naked without my name badge.
-I love this gospel more than anything in the entire world.
I would like to let you all know of how much I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. It has become to mean more to me in the last six months than ever before. I know without a doubt that my Heavenly Father is real, as well as His Son, Jesus Christ. Regardless of how hard each day can be, They are aware of me. We are sons and daughters of God. In this life we are to become whom our Heavenly Father wants us to be. I am so grateful to be on a mission. Who would have thought I would have made it this far? These past 6 months have been the fastest, hardest, most wonderful moments of my entire life. I couldn't be happier. Thank you for who you are, and for the example that you lead each day. I am so grateful for each and every one of you. Your support and prayers are such a blessing.
This really is a mission with a future :) Here's to another wonderful challenging 12 months.
Love you all.
Sister Hall
