April 4th, 2011

Hola everyone!
So transfers came and....I'm staying in Junction City with Sister Nuckles. We were pretty excited about it :) There is so much potential here and we are so happy to continue the work.
Can I just say that General Conference is amazing? Seriously. Elder Holland is the man! I just love him. But really all the talks were wonderful. If you watched the Saturday afternoon session the man that gave the opening prayer is Elder Pearson. He is the one that came and spoke to us a few weeks ago. Oh and when they were doing the releasings and sustainings of the area 70's we heard the name of our soon to be new mission president. He was an area 70! Can you say pressure? Anyway, I loved conference. Loved it, loved it, loved it. Being on a mission has given me a new love and appreciation for things that I didn't understand before I left.
Kansas weather is weird. Regardless of what the weather is, it is almost always windy (I guess that's what happens when mountains don't exist). Plus, every Monday at noon the tornado sirens are tested. They are SO loud! The first time I heard it, it just about gave me a heart attack. Sister Nuckles just laughed at me. One day a tornado is going to happen at noon on a Monday and no one is going to believe them, we'll all think it's just another test.  Last week I had my first experience with a real tornado warning. However, we didn't hear about it till later. Wherever the actually warning was, it stayed clear of Junction City.
We committed Shane for baptism! If everything goes as planned he should be baptized on the 23 of April. He's a really great person. We also met with Alex, whom I think I mentioned in last weeks letter. He is just a innocent little 19 year old who joined the army. He's from Utah and has been investigating the church on his own. He's totally ready, it's just a matter of us and him getting our schedules to work together.
I still just love little Lainey to death. We are going to play at the park with her today. :) (its p-day. We aren't breaking any rules...just fyi)
Well my time is about up. I hope everyone is doing well and that life is going great. Ryan, I hope you enjoy the last little bit of your mission! You are such an example for me. Thank you everyone for all the letters, prayers and support. I wouldn't still be here without them.
The church is the complete and only truth. I couldn't ask for anything more in my life right now.
Love you all. Talk to you in a week.

PS- I had to share my testimony on the spot in the Spanish branch during sacrament meeting. That was fun.....
